Adoptivkinder besitzen ein Anrecht auf Elterngeld ab dem Zeitpunkt, an dem sie offziell in die Familie aufgenommen worden sind. Des Weiteren sind auch Stiefeltern sowie Eltern, die in einer eingetragenen Lebensgemeinschaft leben, anspruchsberechtigt. Auch Groeltern knnen Elterngeld fordern, sofern sie ihre Erwerbsttigkeit reduzieren, um das Grokind zu betreuen – es ist in Ausnahmefllen trotzdem angebracht, bei der zustndigen Dienststelle nochmals nachzufragen.
Ganze 14 Monate lang kann das Elterngeld von Alleinerziehenden bezogen werden.
Wenn Elternpaare den Bezugszeitraum untereinander aufsplittern, erhalten sie die vollen 14 Kalendermonate Elterngeld. Einem Erziehungsberechtigter ist es hierbei fr maximal 12 Kalendermonate mglich, Elterngeld zu beziehen, dem anderen Erziehungsberechtigter fr zwei Monate Minimum.
Fr eine groe Zahl an Partnerschaften wird die geteilte Elternzeit immer attraktiver. Inzwischen erhlt schon ber die Hlfte aller Erziehungsberechtigten gleichzeitige Elterngeldzahlungen, meistens ber zwei Monate. Mtter nehmen im Durchschnitt 11,4 Monate lang Elternzeit in Recht, Mnner nur 2,5 Monate. Eine gemeinsame Auszeit von ganzen 14 Monaten nahm zumindest ein Prozent der Elternpaare.
300 Euro ist der Mindestbetrag, die hchste Auszahlung liegt bei 1800 Euro – das bleibt auch seit der neuen Regelung 2011 gleich. Die Grundlage fr die Ermittlung der Hhe des Elterngeldes sind die durchschnittlichen Einkommenszahlen der letzten 12 Monate vor der Kindsgeburt, blicherweise werden 67 Prozent des Verdienstes gezahlt.
Auen vor bleiben zum Beispiel Sondervergnstigungen wie Urlaubs- oder Weihnachtsgeld sowie Versicherungen. Krankengeld wird blicherweise nicht zum Einkommen gerechnet, auer es sind im Rahmen der Schwangerschaft Krankengeldzahlungen oder weitere Lohnersatzleistungen bezahlt worden. Bei der Berechnung der Betragshhe wird brigens das Einkommen des Partners, der kein elterngeld beantragen will, nicht bercksichtigt.
Wichtig: Versicherte von privaten Krankenkassen mssen ihre Beitrge wie bisher weiter bezahlen, diejenigen, die gesetzlich versichert sind, bleiben whrend des Elterngeldbezugs kostenlos weiterversichert.
Verantwortlich ist die Elterngeldstelle des entsprechenden Bundeslandes. Auf der offiziellen Seite des Bundesfamilienministeriums ist es mglich, eine Liste ber die Elterngeldstellen einzusehen und einen Elterngeldantrag per pdf herunterzuladen.
Nicht zu vergessen ist, dass dem Elterngeldantrag noch einige Unterlagen beigelegt werden mssen, wie zum Beispiel eine Geburtsbescheinigung fr das Baby, ein Nachweis ber die Einknfte vor der Geburt und eine Erklrung ber die geplante zuknftige Arbeitszeit. Der Elterngeldantrag muss bei der dafr verantwortlichen Elterngeldstelle abgegeben werden.
